Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our M&C Home Depot & Sunbilt facilities operating smoothly. You will be responsible for the upkeep of buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring a safe and attractive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all property assets, including buildings, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and structures according to schedules.
• Keep work and storage areas aesthetically appealing and in good repair.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company guidelines.
• Manage company equipment and respond to repair requests promptly.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors or managers.

Required profile

• Minimum of five CXCs, including English and Mathematics.
• At least two years of professional maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s licence for light goods and a minimum of two years driving experience.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to work long, flexible hours, including weekends.
• Team‑player attitude, safety‑conscious, responsible and punctual.

Required skills

• Carpentry and joinery (certificate).
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Basic electricity knowledge.
• Refrigeration and air‑conditioning (certificate).
