Security & CCTV Officer

About the role

CPJ St. Lucia Ltd. is looking for a vigilant, dependable and security-conscious person to join its Orange Grove Supermarket in Castries as Security & CCTV Officer. The post sits within the Retail Operations department and covers monitoring CCTV, spotting security threats, supporting loss prevention and helping contracted security staff keep the workplace, customers and company assets safe.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and review recorded footage to spot suspicious activity, theft, breaches and other irregularities.
• Carry out periodic security checks across the supermarket and designated areas.
• Work with contracted security officers on disturbances, suspected theft and other incidents.
• Report potential risks, suspicious activity and procedure breaches promptly.
• Prepare incident reports and keep surveillance records.
• Support management-led investigations by supplying CCTV footage and factual reports.
• Watch CCTV equipment and report faults or operational issues.

Required profile

• Tertiary education or equivalent.
• Mandatory previous experience in security operations, CCTV surveillance or loss prevention.
• Knowledge of security procedures and surveillance practices.
• Good written and verbal communication, including writing clear incident reports.
• Integrity, discretion and confidentiality; calm and professional under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to operate or learn CCTV surveillance systems.
• Strong observation skills, attention to detail and sound judgement.
