Grocery Supervisor – Retail Department

About the role

CPJ St. Lucia Ltd. is looking for a Grocery Supervisor to lead the Grocery and General Merchandise departments within its retail operation. The role combines inventory management, sales optimisation, staff supervision and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Order and manage deliveries to maintain continuous product availability while preventing stockouts and spoilage.
• Develop and execute product‑mix strategies to maximise sales and gross profit.
• Control inventories, oversee proper handling, storage and accounting of received goods.
• Create attractive product displays, restock promptly and implement advertising and promotion initiatives.
• Supervise personnel, manage store keys, participate in opening/closing procedures and respond to emergency calls.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations on product sale, storage and handling, and maintain cash and banking accountability.

Required profile

• Associate degree or diploma in Management, or a minimum of three to five years retail experience.
• Strong customer‑relations and interpersonal abilities, with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven planning, organisational and supervisory skills, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of industrial relations and ability to uphold company policies and customer‑service philosophy.
