Retail Receiver

About the role

CPJ St. Lucia is looking for a Retail Receiver to join its team in Castries. Reporting to the Grocery/Merchandizing Supervisor, the role covers receiving and unloading incoming shipments, checking contents against purchase orders and packing slips, and keeping inventory records accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and inspect incoming shipments; accept or reject them and note any damage or discrepancies.
• Sort, label and store goods in the stockroom, and deliver products to the right locations with the proper documentation.
• Pick and pack merchandise for customer orders and restock the sales floor.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts, compare them with physical stock, and help with periodic inventory audits.
• Support product rotation and identify expired items during deliveries.
• Operate a forklift safely to load, unload and store deliveries.

Required profile

• Five CXC's including Mathematics and English.
• One year of experience receiving goods, with proven experience as a retail receiver or similar role.
• Well-organized, able to multitask and pay attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, strong time management, and creative thinking.
