Auto Technician I

About the role

We are looking for an Auto Technician I to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance following service manuals and safety standards, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders using the procedures outlined in service manuals and company guidelines.
• Utilise and maintain special automotive tools, reporting any damage or malfunction.
• Inspect vehicles for additional work, inform the Foreman of any difficulties or extra requirements.
• Keep vehicles and the workshop area clean, removing oil, grease and spills promptly.
• Maintain personal and shop tools in good condition and return them to storage after use.
• Assist in training apprentices or new employees when experienced.
• Complete safety inspection logs and submit them to the Foreman.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed service procedures and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to keeping the work area orderly.
• Good communication with foremen and team members regarding job status.
• Willingness to learn and, when applicable, train less‑experienced staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic and repair tools.
• Familiarity with service manuals and standard vehicle maintenance procedures.
