Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Compliance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Compliance (HSSE) Manager to lead our safety and compliance programmes across ground handling operations. The role is based in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia and supports our aviation and culinary services across the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor HSSE programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols for ramp, baggage, aircraft servicing and cargo handling to minimise operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with national and international aviation regulations including ICAO, IATA, OSHA and airline policies.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies, airport authorities and industry partners to stay updated on HSSE regulations.
• Manage the Safety Management System, including incident reporting, investigation, analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause analyses for incidents and near‑misses and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Implement systems for tracking, analysing and reporting safety data, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
• Develop and deliver training programmes on HSSE policies, safe work practices, emergency procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain staff qualifications and certifications for hazardous‑material handling, equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans for spills, fires, security threats and natural disasters.
• Monitor and manage environmental impact, promoting waste reduction and hazardous‑material management.
• Oversee development and implementation of security protocols.
