Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a vigilant and professional Security Officer to protect our retail store, staff and customers. You will help prevent theft, monitor suspicious activity and enforce store policies to maintain a safe shopping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor store premises through regular patrols.
• Prevent shoplifting and internal theft by active observation and intervention.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarms.
• Assist in conflict resolution and de‑escalate tense situations.
• Prepare detailed incident reports as required.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Greet customers and provide assistance, maintaining a visible and approachable presence.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Secondary school diploma.
• Proven experience in the security field (preferred).
• Strong observational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
