About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking an international consultant to provide specialist technical support for the SIDS Restoration Flagship Component 2 in Saint Lucia. The consultant will translate national priorities into a costed, sequenced workplan and guide its implementation, linking restoration activities with sustainable blue‑economy outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize national ecosystem restoration interventions in collaboration with the National Coordinator and DSD.
- Develop, revise, and validate a comprehensive Component 2 workplan, including detailed activities, budgets, timelines, and implementation modalities.
- Prepare technical progress reports and supporting documentation for national governance review.
- Provide technical support for workplan implementation, including drafting terms of reference, scopes of work, concept notes, and partner agreements.
- Facilitate coordination between Component 2 and Component 3, identifying restoration‑linked sustainable blue‑economy opportunities and investment pipelines.
Required profile
- Specialized experience in ecosystem restoration programming, preferably within Small Island Developing States.
- Proven ability to work with national authorities and international partners to develop costed, results‑oriented workplans.
