Sales Clerk / Cashier (Housewares)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Clerk/Cashier to join our housewares department. In this role you will deliver exceptional customer service, promote products, and ensure smooth, accurate transactions in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers, promote housewares merchandise and exceed their expectations.
• Process sales transactions accurately for all payment methods.
• Arrange and display products on the sales floor for easy access.
• Maintain stock levels, merchandise shelves and assist with stock‑takes.
• Order goods from the warehouse and coordinate with other retail locations.
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints and product questions.

Required profile

• Five CXC passes at General proficiency level, including Mathematics and English.
• Minimum one year of retail sales experience.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
